St.Reatham Halts to a Stand Still…

Its the early afternoon and I’ve decided to take a scroll down the High Street. I know I keep banging on about St.Reathams and compared to other areas of London it got away with very minimal damage, but this is my community, its too close for comfort and I to keep an eye on it.

As I was walking by many businesses were close or they were about to close, shutters were down or they were half way down as they prepared to close. Members of the public roaming the streets bewildered by the numerous stores that are closed, but what do you expect? They need to prepare for the worse as it is unpredictable as to what will happen.

Here are a few pictures I have taken:

One of the stores that where attacked last night, fortunately I don’t think much was looted as police acted quite quickly and the store apparently also had a smoke cloak installed so as soon as it thr alarm went off, it reacted. Today the store was boarding up the smashed windows as well other all the other windows.

Two other stores and business that the owners have barricaded in preparation for the worse.

A Cash for Jewellery place emptied their windows in fear for smash and grabs. I have another picture of the Cash for Gold place with all their windows and displays emptied in fear of attacks as well but unfortunately because of the shutters the picture was very reflective so you couldn’t see it properly.

Five Police Vans zoom pass down the high street, only for another four to zoom pass a few minuets later.

I received a text from a friend earlier saying that he read somewhere that about 300 youths from Thorton Heath are apparently heading towards St.Rethams….. May just be rumors or just trash talk but its all unpredictable at the moment.

Blackberry Messenger…

 The debate on Blackberry Messenger:

To block, or not to block, social media applications – like Blackberry’s BBM service – that are helping to spread the word about the riots. Tory MP Patrick Mercer tells the Today programme on Radio 4 that blocking the service would be “interfering with our own liberties”. Meanwhile Mike Butcher, editor of the TechCrunch Europe website and a digital adviser to the Mayor of London, says any block on the service would be ineffective as information about riots would “root around” it.

I also woke up to find this Blackberry Message, I do not know any THUGS so I won’t get any of the so called planning messages!

According to BBC News, News Websites and trends on Facebook or Twitter, next locations to affected in a new few hours or tonight:

Bank Highstreet
Barking
Beckton (Gallions Reach)
Bethnal Green
Bow/Roman Road
Brick Lane
Canning Town
Chingford
Dagenham
Ilford (confirmed to be happening now)
Liverpool Street Station
Mile End
Romford Centre/Highstreet
Shenfield
Seven Kings
Upminster

A current total cost of £7,050,000 – £10,400,00 (not confirmed) has been caused in damages and a total of 1,350+ jobs have been lost.
Other news:

Shops have been ordered to shut early and take their stock out of their shops including locations listed above including Bond Street, Canada Water, Canary Wharf, Covent Gardens, Oxford Circus, Marble Arch, Picadilly Circus and Tottenham Court Road and Victoria.

Burning of cars and shops have also started again being caused by petrol bombs. Riots are expected to start in Essex after Romford including Southend.

The riots are now being organised/run by gangs/communities of each area to meet up to start it, it has nothing to do with Mark Duggan anymore. Police have been ordered to start using gas and permission to fire at people’s foots so if you even think about getting involved you should stay at home. Large shopping centres are also being isolated with people in them to allow mass arrests.

Everyone is advised to not go out tonight.

Re-broadcast this update for keep everyone alerted and safe.

NOTE:

I’m keeping up to date on the London Riot situation via BBC News and Sky news.

A female teenager was just shown on the the BBC News talking to the reporter and her reasons for the riots by London’s Youth is because they get no respect from The Police…. So you get not respect from The Police and you go and burn down businesses, homes and other things. You have lost all respect from the entire Country now, no excuses.

London is Burning Down pt.2

I went to bed a little past 3am last night (or very early this morning) only to be awoken at around 7am….. because I heard noises just like things being pushed over, things being barged and etc. Fortunately it was just the Bin Men.

Yes my area St.Reatham was not hit any where near as bad as other areas of London, we just a had a handful of stores looted (the police were quick to react), but it was too close for comfort. Last nights ‘riots’, actually ‘riots’ is not quite the right word, THUGARY maybe? CRIMINALS maybe?

Unlikely Sunday night’s riots, Monday’s was worse, in the sense anything and EVERYTHING was being attacked, being set on FIRE. These are people’s livelihoods , these are peoples homes and cars!!!

How do you even think about setting a building, a car, someone’s home on fire??? I don’t get it!!!

Yesterday on the news, there were a lot of people going on talking to the new presenters GIVING EXCUSES for these youths as to why this has happened. BOREDOM, NOTHING TO DO IN THE SUMMER, LACK OF YOUTHS CENTRE, ANGER and ETC THERE ARE NO EXCUSES FOR WHAT THEY DID!!!!! I’m BORED AT WORK AT TIMES, DO I SET MY COMPANY ON FIRE???? NO!!!!!!

Hate to say it but these people who have said this OPEN YOUR EYES!!! IT IS NOT ABOUT RACE (although they have not said it is a race thing but you can tell by the people who are saying it are hinting it out), IT IS NOT ABOUT AGE EITHER, THERE ARE OLD THERE ARE YOUNG (really young), IT IS ABOUT A CRIMINAL ACT TO CAUSE DAMAGE AND HURT TO OTHERS!!! TO YOUR OWN CITY, YOUR OWN COMMUNITY!!!!!

I have seen videos of the events from yesterday and I have been disgusted!! I wanted to throw up!!!

SCUM SCUM SCUM!!! Actually scum is too nice of a word!!! I’m Disgusted!!!!

LONDONERS LETS PULL TOGETHER AND GET THIS FUCKERS LOCKED UP!!!! WE AS A COMMUNITY NEED TO STAND TOGETHER! STAND FIRM!!!

Yes there were not enough Polices on the streets of London, but they will always be out numbered, we as a community need to stand together and support the police lets not criticise, lets not show a un-unified state.
